OUR BELIEFS
We Want You To:
KNOW
We believe in one holy, loving, and Sovereign God, eternally existing in three persons: the everlasting Father; His one and only Son, Jesus Christ our Lord; and the Holy Spirit, who are of one substance, equal in power and glory, and who are worthy of the same worship, love, confidence, and obedience.
We believe that God has manifested Himself and His truth in the created order, in the Scriptures, and ultimately in Jesus Christ. We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors.
We believe in the full humanity and deity of our Lord Jesus Christ who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe He lived a sinless life. We believe in His miracles, in His substitutionary, and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His present ministry for His people as Lord of all, High Priest, and Advocate. Salvation comes only through placing ones faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross, and receiving his righteousness in place of our sinfulness.
GROW
The Bible is the Word of God, which is fully truthful and the only infallible guide in faith and practice. It is the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged. Therefore, it is to be believed in all it teaches, obeyed in all it requires, and trusted in all it promises. Through the Word of God, the Holy Spirit works to transform both our character and our life to conform to the image of Christ.
AND GO
We believe the responsibility of Christ’s people in this world is to be God’s redeemed community, embodying His love by worshiping God with praise, prayer, and confession; by proclaiming the gospel of God’s redemptive love through the Lord Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth by word and deed; by caring for all of God’s creation and actively seeking the good of everyone; by living out the realities of the Christian faith with care for one another; and by showing compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed.
